Some good information and breaking news from AD401-Leveraging AJAX Frameworks to Build Domino Web Applications. IBM is contributing to and throwing some support behind the Dojo AJAX toolkit. Lotus specifically is watching and considering making a move to Dojo for Domino Web Access at some point in the future as the toolkit matures.
The other big news is the coming support for output of JSON formated results from ?ReadViewEntries, ?ReadEntries and ?ReadDesign in Domino 8. Yay! Now, don't tell anyone, but the secret is that the feature is already there in 7.0.2, but of course it is totally unsupported right now, so you would be using at your own risk, and there are some minor formating changes coming in 7.0.3. But to use simply append the additional paramater &OutputFormat=JSON to your request URLs utilizing the functions above.
